MyBella is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app. It is normally set up by a parent or caregiver on behalf of a child who uses it to communicate.
Stored only on the device, never on our servers: the child’s profile (name, favorite color/show/interest), the weekly schedule, custom words, avatar choices, voice selection, and word-usage history. This is stored using the device’s local storage. We do not operate a database and do not receive or retain this information — it never leaves the device except as described below.
Sent to Anthropic (our AI provider), for that request only, not stored by us:
Never collected at all: we do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There is no account creation, no email collection, no location data, and no data sold or shared for advertising purposes.
Speech: MyBella uses the device’s own built-in text-to-speech. Nothing related to speech output is sent anywhere.
MyBella is intended to be set up and configured by a parent or caregiver, not by a child independently. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for our own use — all profile information is entered by an adult, stored locally on that adult’s device, and used only to personalize what the app shows, not for any other purpose. We do not use this information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond running the app itself.
Since all personal data lives in the app’s local storage on your device, uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it completely. There is no server-side copy for us to delete.

We’ll update this page if what the app collects or how it’s used changes, and update the “last updated” date accordingly.
